BRIDGET CRONIN

Dancer

Bridget Cronin (NY, NY) grew up in Liverpool, NY where she received her dance training at the Dance Arts Center and Movement Studies. She has a B.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts where she performed works by Merce Cunningham, Ohad Naharin, Camille A. Brown, Monica Bill Barnes, and Janis Brenner and was a UMass Amherst Chancellor’s Talent Award recipient. Bridget has performed for Annmaria Mazzini, Parisa Khobdeh, Dave Grenke, Ballaro Dance, Balasole Dance, Dancing Legacy, the Equus Projects, Beth Soll, Reject Dance Theater, and Gallim Dance, in collaboration with Marta Minujín for Frieze NYC, and she was a background dancer in the PBS film “The Chaperone” choreographed by John Carrafa in 2017. She has presented her choreography at Gowanus Arts, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Buggé Ballet, Triskelion Arts, Riverdale Artists Workshop, and as a guest artist at UMass Amherst. Bridget was a guest artist at the New York State Summer School of the Arts School of Dance under the artistic direction of Carolyn Adams and Julie Strandenberg, where she staged her choreographic tribute to Paul Taylor, “For Paul.” Bridget teaches children and adult private and group dance lessons throughout the five boroughs and for the Taylor School outreach program. She is on faculty as a modern teacher at Steffi Nossen School of Dance. She currently dances for Paul Taylor alum, Laura Halzack in her choreographic debut. Bridget joined CLYMOVE in March 2020 and is extremely happy to have been performing with them since the company’s first show back after lockdown in December 2021.

She has been with Clymove since March 2020.
